For only four hours each month, well-known and emerging artists are showcased in the delightful, historic, red brick promenade and in the festive courtyard. The June One Night Stand features returning artists with new work to share.

Deva Marin again presents her jewelry in another dramatic setting. She was introduced to beadworking as a young child by a traveling gypsy. She developed a mastery of the rare and challenging beaded embroidery technique. Her work transcends the traditional design principles of color, texture, form...to include philosophy, metaphor, melody, even physics. . In her work you will find echoes of Ancient Egypt, the carefree optimism of the flapper, the opulence of the Baroque era, and the nature-based rhythms of Native America. All are sure to draw attention to any who wear these unique creations.Ê

Garry Palm will be working on one of his vintage Palm Girls. What she will be doing in watercolor is anyone's guess, but think pineapples and biplanes. He will have other Palm Girls and floral prints and originals for viewing and sale as well. Garry's work can also be seen at garrypalm.com and many galleries around the islands.

Todd Schroeder's
art is a direct reflection of his extensive travels and intuitive vision of a world shaped in beautiful geometric patterns filled with vibrant colors. His work provides the viewer an opportunity to see the world around them in a unique and provocative light that is striking, intriguing and pleasing to the eye. Not limited to the traditional canvas, he also creates unique surfboards!

Sculptor, Paul Staub, will be showing his new work: a convergence of stone and wood. Multifaceted and international, he began with photography in the 1980's, moved to oil paints a decade later and now carves both wood and stone. On other days, he works either as an assistant curator at a Honolulu exhibition space or as the Mission House Museum preparator.Ê

Accupuncture & Herbs from China will be offering exotic teas and lotions for sale.ÊÊ

Kate Wagner will show her original artwork in the Starpoint Café. Her other art form is food: Box Dinners and incredible original desserts, which are provided for sale.

Fred Gayagas will be back to share his wonderful old and new Hawaiian tunes and interact with the Courtyard visitors. Enter into the Chinatown Courtyard either on Smith Street through the Blue Dragon Gate or through the glass doors on Maunakea Street. This event is free and open to the public.
