The Mendonca Building's Courtyard will be open in December with an Underground Graffiti Exhibit on the ground floor and Christmas gift Vendors and Loft tenant exhibits upstairs. Come through the Bamboo Courtyard Gate or go directly to the Second Floor through two choices: the Smith Street door or up the red Courtyard stairs.

Start In Loft 212 on the Smith Street side, with an assortment of jewelry and knit wear and work your way around the veranda seeing other Lofts on the way. New to the venue are SUZANNE GARRETT and her friend DANIELE ROCCO MINERBI Suzie’s photographs “Dancin’ with the Sun” have now been reproduced on greeting cards and prints of all sizes (by special order). Photographing nature in the natural light of the day has been her way to connect with time and space, which she loves to share. Daniele is a painter with a doctorate in Architecture from Milano, Italy. She also has a Diploma of the Fifth year in Piano from the Conservatory of Milano and is coauthor of a historical book.

DIEDRE CHASE returns to Chinatown with her sterling silver and gold-filled components, natural materials and glass. What began as a penchant for collecting vintage glass beads turned into a jewelry-making adventure called Deesigns Hawaii that has lasted for more than 20 years.
Each one-of-a-kind piece is made with thought and care to appeal to the modern woman, whether her mood is playful, casual, glamorous or classic.

Always a favorite, BAERBEL “Gigi” MILLER will offer her amazing Knitwear again.  She is also interested in and teaches ribbon leimaking, glass painting,  aquarelle designing, quilting and other crafts at Ben Franklin and in her home. She will be showing some of the great new fashion hits...”pompom scarf’s” which can be seen all over Paris and the rest of Europe as well. If you already have one, they make great gifts and are very reasonable priced. She will also have many handmade scarves and throws and her original one of a kind purses.

ALESSANDRA JANN-JORDAN returns as well with” Reverie by Alessandra”. She creates handcrafted jewelry and cards using semi-precious stones, fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystallized elements, vintage coral, a variety of metals, and hand glass blown beads. All are collected from her travels around the world. The greeting cards are feature layers of beautiful hand crafted papers, originating from countries such as Korea, France and Italy. The cards are one of a kind and irreproducible, as the vintage elements used to decorate them are unique, recycled and often antique. Both jewelry and cards can be custom made and tailored to the client's specifications.   She loves the creative process, and takes pride in her customer’s satisfaction and enjoyment of her products.

SHAYNE TURNER, after missing several months with a broken arm, will be offering her unique jewelry called Grand Strands. Crafted individually and by hand in the Windward Temple Valley, each unique piece celebrates many of nature’s own creations including pearls, beads and shells, and reflecting places and colors of our Islands.
COME into the Courtyard, which will be transformed for a night into an underground haven where graffiti artists and their helpers display their work in a legitimate venue without criticism. Experience how this is can be seen as a valid art form and add your comments to the Q&A boards.

Entry to the venue is either on Maunakea Street or Smith Street This event is free and open to the public.
