Hawaii State Art Museum

FIRST FRIDAY: NORTH SHORE RAMBLERS

The North Shore Ramblers will be bringing the music of Appalachia to HiSAM with a broad sampling of bluegrass music, blending styles of Scottish, Irish, English and African music for some knee­slapping, foot­stomping musical fun. Neal Snyder (guitar and vocals), Jeb Wiemer (guitar and vocals), Virginia Hayes (fiddle and vocals) and Bob Hayes (bass and vocals) will transport you to the back holler hoedowns of Appalachia.

First Friday is a downtown gallery walk held on the first Friday of every month. Galleries and museums, including the Hawai‘i State Art Museum, are open for the event which is free to the public.

ABOUT THE HAWAII STATE MUSEUM

The Hawai'i State Art Museum is located in No. 1 Capitol Distric Building at 250 South Hotel Street. The building is situated in the historic Hawaii Capital Cultural District, across from 'Iolani Palace and the State Capitol. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. For more information on the Hawai'i State Art Museum call (808) 586-0900
