Fabulously Funky First Friday

 Come on down to heart of Honolulu to join in the festivities.... Kava will be flowing, the music will be bumpin', and the dance floor will be filled with flow arts. Show up for the art, and stay to dance the night away.

Hanalei Bishop
Born and raised in Kahalu’u. He now resides in Waiahole where he runs his own kalo farm.. His 2014 debut album, Rainwork, was nominated for alternative album of the year at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.Musician, farmer, and Homestead Poi owner Hanale Bishop brings a night of storytelling and compositions about his beautiful home, its people and the rain. A few friends will be joining in on the fun for this special night of Music of Hawai'i.

Ija Prestera
“I feel when I play, the listener can relate to everyday challenges and use it as a fuel to just dance and for a moment just have fun and release some burdens. I am really working on my craft, practicing, searching for new music and trying to play as much as I can. There is a passion that is always in me that needs to be creating.

Quadraphonix
The Quadraphonix specialize in improvisational music that takes form as we play it live. Our music is based on the theory of free form jazz, which is freedom of musical expression. Within this expression, we showcase cultural music from our live experiences and our ancestry. Fusing Indian, Malaysian, Middle Eastern and Latin music with Western styles of Jazz, Blues and Funk is what we do best.

Andy Seven Pairs
The lead singer for "7 pairs of Iron Shoes", Andy brings down-home Rock and Roll to your ears, and shoves it into your soul. With grit in his voice and strength in his heart, Andy's styles will bring you to new levels. A howling folk rock/alt country sound, Andy pays homage to what most would call classic, and what some might consider time proven.

The HowRad Fiasco
Brother HowRad will be joining us with his unique brand of bawdy truth, externalizing the thoughts that many have, but few would dare say in public, do to some sense of public shame. It will be bawdy, raunchy, and tender, as he sets out to poke, prod, and probe the orifices of your soul.

Marko Livingston
With an interest in art at a very early age, that interest led Marko down the path of tattooing & graffiti. From his preteen years threw teen years, Marko dabbled in a few hand poked tattoos and homemade tattoo machines. Graffiti for Marko was just a secret name he had that he wrote around town by himself Just for fun which started in 1992. It wasn’t until 2002 when Marko really found out what graffiti was all about from his new crew of friends. Marko started professionally tattooing a few years later in 2007. In 2015 he combined his two arts and opened Streetfelt Hawaii, the first and only Tattoo shop + Graffiti supply store in all of Hawaii
