Current Main Gallery Exhibition
Hawaiʻi’s premier statewide juried exhibition – held annually since 1967 – features traditional and contemporary craft from across the state of Hawaiʻi. Juror Suzanne Isken (suzisk) has visited each island to make public presentations and select work to be included in the exhibition. Find out more at hawaiicraftsmen.org, or come see the incredible work for yourself at the First Friday Reception on Friday, October 4 from 5-8 p.m., or the Opening Reception and Award Ceremony on Saturday, October 5 from 6-8 p.m.

Make Art, Change Lives: Supporting Artists with Disabilities

First Friday Opening Reception: Friday, October 4 6 from 5:30-8 p.m.
Make Art Change Lives (MACL) is a community art project founded and directed by artist Annie Moriyasu. It focuses on empowering adult artists with developmental disabilities. Over the past several years, MACL has worked with artists on Maui and Oʻahu to provide training, create opportunities, and showcase the work of disabled artists. This exhibition is their premiere at Downtown Art Center, featuring 26 artists from three islands.
