An international hero of forgiveness, Azim Khamisa, joins us for our March meeting.

Azim accepted and overcame the greatest pain that a parent can feel: the murder of his son. He founded The Tariq Khamisa Foundation in 1995, named after his son, Tariq Khamisa.

Tariq was a 20 year old college student, killed by Tony Hicks, a 14 year old gang member. Tony was the first child in California under the age of 16 to be convicted as an adult, and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

But Azim Khamisa believed there were "victims on both ends of the gun". He reached out in forgiveness to Tony's grandfather, Ples Felix, to begin the process of healing; they work together around the world now to establish the importance of forgiveness as a choice we can all make.

This is a rare opportunity to meet Azim in an informal setting, hear him speak, ask questions, and renew our own deep, personal understanding of forgiveness.

Here is an interview with Azim Khamisa.

Do not be angry

About the errors of man

But forgive
And cleanse
