Sooriya Kumar is a recipient of the Hawaii International Hero of Forgiveness award, for his incredible ability restart his life with compassion and understanding, and forgive the murderer of his father.
He has spent a great deal of time in silence, and does not often speak in public. This is a rare opportunity to hear the voice of silence. Sooriya studied with Hindu monks in India, and his mastery of copper sculpting has helped transform his life into one of forgiveness, gratitude and peace.
He formed Mouna Farm Arts and Cultural Village on the Waianae Coast a few years ago as a sanctuary for spiritual persons of all faith to live and work from a place of love and aloha.
Sooriya will be with us at our June meeting to speak of his history, philosophy of life, and Mouna Farm's work and activities.
Please join us for a very special dialogue and experience.
