DJ TENNIS (Italy): During the last 2 decades, DJ Tennis (Manfredi Romani) has produced music for theatre, movie soundtracks and the international club industry. His production skills are inspired by the psychedelic and melancholic sounds of the 60s straight thru to early 2000's IDM, taking influence from musicians such as The Who, Talk Talk, Ultravox, Fugazi, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Plastikman. In addition to his prolific production career on acclaimed music labels such as Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio, Kompakt, Touch of Class and Wolf + Lamb, Tennis is also the label boss of the highly acclaimed Life & Death Records, which has released quality, cutting edge tunes from the likes of Tale of Us, Seth Troxler, Pillow Talk, My Favorite Robot, Mind Against and other avant-garde artists. His achievements don't stop there, however: not only has Tennis founded two of the most important musical events in Italy (Elita Festival in Milan and Dissonanzel in Rome), he's been a regular at BPM, Sonar, Robot Heart at Burning Man, DEMF and other festivals that are at the forefront of the music industry.
