Join the Female Comics of Hawaii at our favorite venue, the Downbeat Diner Lounge for our last show of the year! Come and hear our comics tell tales of awkward dating, hilarious hijinks, husbands and crazy people we have met along the journey to Honolulu. This time Brandi Morgan, Porscha, Maryjane, Erika Swartzkopf , Maura Sateriale and Kendra Shine perform and Patrice Scott hosts this awesome night. Join us for some gut-busting fun, great drinks and the diner food with vegan options rocks!

The Female Comics of Hawaii group was started by Erika Swartzkopf in November 2011 and she began to produce events in April 2012. Our group has put together seventeen monthly events in two and a half years at the Dragon Upstairs, Adega Portuguesa, Hawaiian Brian's, the Volcano Art Center on the Big Isle, Station Bar and our favorite venue, the Downbeat Lounge. We've been featured as a cover story in the Midweek, the Cherry Pop Revue, the Honolulu Weekly, featured in the TGIF of the Star-Advertiser, the March 2014 issue of Inside Out Magazine and most recently the Ka Leo in August. We've been interviewed on the KITV 4 morning show and Hawaii Public radio. We remain the only all-female comedy group in Hawaii! Our female comics are a very diverse, talented group who are guaranteed to make you laugh out loud at their hilarious stories of life in Hawaii! The Downbeat Diner & Lounge is located at 42 North Hotel Street Next to Manifest & across from 39 Hotel.

Serving quality classic diner favorites; burgers, house made vegan burgers, fries, milkshakes, sandwiches, nonstop breakfast, and desserts with vegetarian and vegan options for every menu item. Downbeat is open 11am-3am M-TR and 11am- 4am on the weekends.

Downbeat Diner is inspired by classic American diners and serves up many familiar dishes like burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes, and fries, but also focuses on healthy vegetarian and vegan options as well. Along with this, Downbeat only uses grass fed Hawaii free range beef for their hamburgers, and as much local produce as possible. Downbeat believes that good comfort food should come from good sources and should be enjoyed by omnivores and vegetarians alike.

"Was there on opening night... What a great place. Had the loco moco and was so full that I had to take dessert to go (Otto Cake). Simply delicious. The staff was great. Instantly became my favorite diner."

"Even as we walked into Downbeat, the modern diner decor and cozy feel was enough to have me praying to the gods that the food and service would be up to snuff enough for me to make this a regular stop on my Chinatown circuit. We sat at the bar and our very friendly bartender - Serena - gave us menus and gave us the breakdown about their alcohol policy."

The basket of fritters are a MUST GET, though. Big pieces, a cup of caramel sauce, and fritters so soft and sweet that the sauce is almost an after thought. if you MUST get dessert, get the basket of fritters.
