38th Annual "Commitment to Excellence" Art Exhibition

Each year, the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce (HJCC) supports the business of art in Hawaii by organizing this annual venue for the best works of Hawaii‘s artists. We welcome all interested local artists to submit entries to this art exhibit. As a Hawaii artist, this is your opportunity to showcase your creativity and talent!

Entry
Tuesday, August 2 & Wednesday, August 3

10:00 AM -- 4:00 PM

Cost: $20 for the 1st piece, $10 for each additional piece thereafter (5 pieces max can be entered)

Students with a valid school ID receive a $5 discount on entry fees.

2016 HJCC Art Exhibition Prospectus

Entry Specifications
2-D & 3-D media accepted.

There is no "theme" for this exhibition. All types of artwork are welcome.

2-D works must be no larger than 5'x7' (height x width).

3-D works must be no larger than 6'x6'x6' (height x width x depth).

Weight of work shall not exceed 250 lbs.

All entries shall state the artist's sale price.

Awards

Award of Excellence -- $ 1,000

1st Place (2-D / 3-D) -- $ 500

2nd Place (2-D / 3-D) -- $ 300

3rd Place (2-D / 3-D) -- $ 200

Honorable Mention (2-D / 3-D) -- $ 75

Rising Star (Student) Award -- $ 100

Gallery Hours

The Exhibition will be open and free to the general public on Tuesday, August 9th -- Thursday, August 18th during the following times:

Tuesday -- Saturday, 10:00 AM -- 4:30 PM

Sunday, 1:00 -- 5:00 PM

Monday, Closed
