As the rainy season has come and gone, with summer drawing near, the Department of Parks and Recreation is welcoming the new season with several special spring-time events.
Listed below are the upcoming occasions, all free and open to the public, in chronological order:
20th Annual Koko Head Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza
- Koko Head District Park
- Saturday, March 30 at 9 a.m.
- Egg hunt for keiki 12 years and younger. Registration at 9 a.m., hunt at 10 a.m.
- Prizes for winning keiki and goodies for participants
- Variety of games organized by community groups

Kamehameha Park Easter Egg Hunt & Fun Fair
- Kamehameha Community Park
- Sunday, April 7 at 9 a.m.
- All ages welcome
- Activities and prizes for all ages
- Volunteers needed, please call (808) 768-6763 to help
Kalākaua Park Easter Egg Hunt
- Kalākaua District Park
- Saturday, April 13 at 9 a.m. beginning with arts & crafts
- Several age groups for egg hunt, 12 years and younger, beginning at 10 a.m.
- Goodie bags for all contestants, with prizes for those who find the "lucky egg"

Hālawa Complex Easter Egg Hunt
- Hālawa District Park
- Sunday, April 14 at 10 a.m.
- Several age groups for egg hunt, 12 years and younger
- First 200 participants receive a goodie bag with some great prizes

Mānoa Valley Egg Hunt
- Mānoa Valley District Park
- Sunday April 14 at 9:30 a.m.
- Egg hunt begins at 10 a.m.
- Craft projects and picture taking with photo backdrop

Kalihi Palm Sunday Easter Egg Hunt
- Kalihi Uka Community Park
- Sunday, April 14 at 12:30 p.m.
- All ages welcome
- Prizes awarded to participants with refreshments served
- Please do not bring any packages, boxes, or baskets for egg gathering
- Volunteers needed, please call (808) 768-6762 in the afternoon to help
- Parking is limited, attendees are encouraged to use other forms of transportation
Kāne‘ohe Easter Eggstravaganza
- Windward Mall
- Thursday, April 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Enjoy egg coloring, arts & crafts, fun, and games

Diamond Head Easter Egg Hunt
- Kaimuki Community Park
- Saturday, April 20 at 9:30 a.m.
- Egg hunt for keiki ages 3-12. Registration at 9:30 a.m., hunt begins at 10 a.m.

- Additional fun and games following the egg hunt until 11 a.m.
