City suspending road tests for driver licenses
HONOLULU -- The city's Department of Customer Services announced today that it will be suspending through April 2 all road tests to obtain a driver license.
The service suspension takes effect Monday, March 23, and will also apply to the road tests for commercial driver licenses.
The temporary service suspension is due to ongoing public health concerns and supports the Centers for Disease Control's recommendation for social distancing as part of citywide efforts to help stem the spread of the coronavirus.
All existing road test appointments will be rescheduled. As previously announced, all driver license transactions are by appointment only.
