HONOLULU – Effective Sunday, January 10, 2021, Kahuku Golf Course will allow stand-by/walk-in play for golfers without a tee time reservation. Stand-by/walk-in golfers will be required to follow the Golf Course Division waiting list protocols to continue following the current safety guidelines for O‘ahu golf courses established under the Aloha Section PGA, Hawai‘i Golf Phase 2.5M:
- Masks SHALL be worn at all times around the clubhouse and parking lot areas.
- Tee times (groups) will be set at 8-minute intervals.
- Non-playing golfers will NOT be allowed on the golf course.
- Golf groups will NOT exceed five (5) players in a group.
- Physical distancing of at least 6-feet shall be maintained during the round.
For stand-by/walk in play:
- A maximum of two customers will be allowed into the Clubhouse/Starter’s Office at a time.
- Golfers waiting outside the Clubhouse/Starter’s Office shall not exceed five people per group.
- To prevent gathering, golfers waiting to walk-in may be asked to wait in their vehicles until called.
- Golfers shall maintain their pace of play and keep their respective physical distancing from groups ahead and behind.
- Golfers who fail to abide by the Golf Course Division rules and regulations pertaining to the modified stand-by/walk-in play will be asked to leave the golf course property and may have their playing privileges revoked.
Reservations for tee times are highly encouraged. The tee time reservation phone line, 296-2000, opens at 6:30 a.m. daily to book tee times at any of the six municipal golf courses (Kahuku, Ala Wai, Pali, Makalena, ‘Ewa Villages and West Loch) up to seven days in advance. Stand-by/walk-in play will only be allowed at Kahuku Golf Course. Stand-by/walk-in play will not be available at the other municipal golf courses at this time.
